Site Layout Settings

Predefine design parameters and Layout properties that are configured for the Site Objects.

Default design values OpenSite will use when placing Site elements, they user customizable.

OpenSite has predefined design standards, rules, and layout properties that are configured in DGN library files in the standards directory. These default settings can be found under OpenSite Standards>Standards >Libraries> Site Layout Settings > Site_Defaults which can be found in the Explorer panel. These default properties are copied into the current file where you can manage them as needed. They can be found under OpenSite Standards >Standards>Site Model.dgn> Site Layout Settings.

Site Layout Settings

  1. Open Explorer and review the Site Layout Settings for the parceling area.
    1. Select Explorer (located in the upper left corner of the ribbon).
    2. Navigate to OpenSite Standards pane and expand the pane by clicking on the down arrow.
    3. Expand the Standards category by clicking the arrow on the left.
    4. Select Site-Model.dgn (Default) and expand the list until you can see the Site Layout Settings.
    5. Expand Site Layout Settings until you see all the site settings as listed in the image to the right.

      This area is where all the design standards and layout settings are defined for the various site objects.

  2. Review the design standards and layout settings for the Parceling Area.
    1. Select the Area category listed under Parceling Area Default Properties.
    2. Right-click and select Properties to review the design standards and layout settings for the parceling area.
